As a new graduate in electromechanics, Yves Harel began his professional life in 1956 as a technician. At the same time, he pursued his training in industrial engineering and became a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs in 1968. Mr. Harel’s career progressed over time and he held several important positions. In 1974, he decided to start his own company, drawing on his technical, sales and managerial experience to found Regulvar and thereby create the foundation for the Company’s future development. As the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Harel currently focuses on defining strategies and implementing Regulvar’s policies.

Marc Dugré received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 and became a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in 1986. Hired by Regulvar in 1985 as a project manager, he took over the Quebec City branch in 1987 in order to develop the markets in Central and Eastern Quebec. Mr. Dugré has been the President of Regulvar Inc. since 1999 and as such, he manages all activities in Quebec. His interest in taking full advantage of leading-edge technologies has helped Regulvar stand out from the competition. Engaged in his field, Mr. Dugré has served on various committees, including the executive committee of the Association de la construction du Québec (2010-2015) and the board of directors of the Conseil du patronat du Québec (2014-2016). He is currently a member of the board of directors of NSERC's Smart Net-zero Energy Buildings strategic Research Network.

Michel Harel obtained a college diploma in building mechanics in 1986. The following year, he began his career at Regulvar as regional director of the Hull branch. In 1993, he founded his own automatic control solutions company, which he ran until 1997. Since then, he has helmed Regulvar Canada, overseeing the operations of the company's branches, which serve Ontario and the Outaouais region. Given his advanced computer knowledge, he also directed the IT department from 2005 to 2017. Today he supports the vice-president of Administration and Information Technology in developing technological strategies and implementing business solutions to continue growing the company.

André Harel obtained his Diploma of Collegial Studies in Building Mechanics in 1979. That same year, he started his career at Regulvar, where he became a master electrician and site superintendent. In 1985, Mr. Harel started his own company, which he managed for 12 years. He returned to Regulvar in 1997 and took over the Service Department in the Montreal region before being appointed Vice-President of Sales. In 2004, he implemented the Lachine branch, which he continues to manage today. In 2009, he was appointed President of Elkon, a Regulvar subsidiary, and of Regulvar France, whose market he is currently developing.

Benoît Gohier obtained his Diploma of Collegial Studies in Building Mechanics in 1979 and was immediately hired by Regulvar as a designer. With a wide spectrum of responsibilities, Mr. Gohier developed professionally with the Company and was appointed Manager of the Saint-Hubert branch in 1991. A high-level project manager, he has helped Regulvar open up specialized markets thanks to his experience in construction and his ability to complete large projects. Mr. Gohier participated in implementing the quality system, which was instrumental in enabling Regulvar to obtain its ISO 9001 certification in 1997.

Johanne Quevillon began her career in a construction company before joining Regulvar in 1981 as an Administrative Assistant. Given that the Company was still small at the time, she carried out a variety of administrative and accounting activities. While working at Regulvar, Ms. Quevillon completed a college program in finance and management, progressing at the same pace as the Company and gradually taking on positions with increasing responsibility. After about 10 years, she was promoted to the position of Manager of Administration—a department that she was solely responsible for setting up. Appreciated for her sound judgement, she currently manages a team of approximately 15 people.

Michel Cochrane obtained his Diploma of Collegial Studies in Building Mechanics in 1983. He began his career in a building mechanics firm as a technical advisor in the company’s Control Department. He carried out that role until 1996, when he was recruited by Marc Dugré due to his recognized skills. In 2000, he took over the management of the Quebec City and Rimouski branches. Mr. Cochrane’s expertise and versatility have helped Regulvar successfully meet many challenges and he is currently interested in developing the wireless technology market.

David Gernigon obtained his B.Sc. in Energy Engineering in 1995 and has been a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec since 2005. After 10 years working as a sales engineer with the Suez Group, Axima division in France, he joined Opsis, a subsidiary of the Helios Group. He worked for this subsidiary in Quebec for two years as the Director of Technology Services. When Mr. Gernigon returned to France in the fall of 2007, he was responsible for developing the activities of the Groupe Helios France. In 2008, he was appointed Manager of Regulvar France and ever since, he has been working on developing the activities of that branch.

A graduate of the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Mrs. Caroline Prévost received her Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering in December 2013. She immediately joined Regulvar’s team as manager of the Rouyn-Noranda branch. Her on the job training and employment in the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Hydro-Québec have allowed her to acquire multiple experiences and competencies in her field. Mrs. Prevost wants to make sure that Regulvar’s customers will benefit from her skills and wishes to actively participate in developing Regulvar’s activities in her region.

Hugo Lafontaine obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in management in 2002 and he became a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario in 2006. From 2002 to 2005, he worked as an HVAC control system design engineer. In 2005, he joined Regulvar and after six months working as a technician, he was appointed the task of implementing the Sudbury branch. After successfully meeting that challenge, he was given the responsibility of opening the Toronto branch, where he  managed until 2012. He is now Sales Director for Regulvar Canada. In 2009, the Association of Energy Engineers awarded him the title of Certified Energy Manager.

Frédéric Laforge obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1991 and his engineer’s licence in 1993. While working, he decided to further his studies, obtaining a Certificate in Administration in 1994 and a Master in Project Management in 1999. Hired by Regulvar in 1991, he worked as a project manager until 1996. He then worked for other companies in the industrial and construction sectors. In 2001, he was invited to return to Regulvar as the Manager of Operations for the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Interested in laboratory control systems, he is currently working on developing that market.

Maxime Noël de Tilly obtained his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 with a specialization in mechatronics and fluid mechanics. He became a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec the same year, and a member of Professional Engineers Ontario in 2016. Recruited by Regulvar in 2008, he worked as a technician for six months at the Gatineau branch. He was then asked to manage a laboratory project before becoming the Manager of the Sudbury branch. In 2012, he was appointed Manager of the Toronto branch. Mr. Noël de Tilly manages diversified projects but he is particularly interested in developing the industrial market.

Martin Valiquette obtained his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 and was admitted into the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in 1996. During his studies, he worked at Regulvar as a draftsman and was invited to join the Company upon completion of his training in 1994. Mr. Valiquette began as a project leader in the Quebec City branch before being appointed to set up the Sherbrooke branch in 1996. With the assistance of the Quebec City team, he developed the activities of the Sherbrooke branch, which he still manages today, supported by a team of approximately 20 people.

Mr. Charles-Philippe Jolicoeur obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnique de Montréal in 2006. In June of that year, he joined Régulvar as a Designer before quickly becoming a Project Manager. Mr. Jolicoeur received his engineer’s permit in 2009 and his duties at Régulvar have continued to expand. Appointed Director of Construction in 2011, he plays an active role on the ongoing improvement committee and is working with his team to redesign the management procedures in effect regarding projects at his branch. He recently accepted a new challenge when he was appointed Director of the Laval branch in 2014. He intends to optimize the branch’s operations and services.

Mr. Erich Kerckhoff studied at Cambrian College in Sudbury, from which he received his Electronics Engineering Technology diploma in 2007. He started his career with Regulvar in 2009 in the Ottawa Branch as a member of the design team, which he began supervising after about a year. He then relocated to Sudbury in 2012 where he undertook his project management role. He was recently appointed manager of the Sudbury Branch, where he currently manages Regulvar’s projects in the North Eastern Ontario region.

Martin Tremblay studied mechanical systems technology at the Cégep de Rimouski, obtaining his diploma in 2003. After completing a few internships, including one at the Société immobilière du Québec, he was hired by the Centre hospitalier de Rimouski to supervise redevelopment projects. In 2004 he joined the team at Regulvar as a technician for the market release of various types of monitoring equipment. In 2008 he was appointed project manager and is now in charge of operations at the Rimouski branch.

Yannick Daunais studied at Cégep Montmorency in Laval, obtaining his college diploma in electrical engineering (electrodynamics option) in 2002. During his last year, he completed an internship at Regulvar. He made such a good impression, he was subsequently hired. He has participated in a number of major projects, for instance, at Montreal-Trudeau airport, UQÀM, Polytechnique and CHRDL. In 2012 he was appointed project manager for the Joliette region, and has been branch coordinator since 2014.

Benoît Marchand studied mechanical systems technology at Cégep de Trois-Rivières. He worked as a technician for two companies during his studies, and obtained his diploma in 2009. He was then hired by Regulvar as a designer—a position he held for three years. He was then appointed project manager for the Trois-Rivières region, and he has been coordinating the activities in that region since 2013.

After graduating from Polytechnique Montréal in 1995, Marie-Eve Roy went on to become a seasoned manager with an expertise in information technologies (IT). At the start of her career, she worked as a consultant and was soon hired as a team leader at Alcan (now Rio Tinto), where she held a variety of IT management positions. Her mandates included overseeing the implementation of the enterprise software SAP in Canada and abroad. She later became business partner for all IT services within the Aluminium group. Since joining the Regulvar team in early 2017, she has played a key role as vice-president of Administration and Information Technology.
